OfferUp is hiring a Facilities & Safety Coordinator to assist in managing our office and building maintenance, as well as satisfying the needs of our 325+ employee company. This role is responsible for managing the physical and personnel safety for the entire company. In addition, this position requires you to be flexible as you must be able to fill in for other members of the Office Operations team. 

This role is designated @Office and is required to be in the Bellevue, Washington office 3+ days a week.

Here’s more of what you will get to do:

  • Complete ticket requests in our work order system
  • Lead Safety Committee ensuring safety protocols and standards are consistently and enthusiastically applied throughout office
  • Monitor all emergency systems to ensure functionality including exits, proximity badge functions, fire alarm systems, alarm systems
  • Oversees all safety and security activities including monitoring site access control, flow of employees, and all guests during office hours and occasionally for after-hour events
  • Write incident reports detailing incidents and associated resolution
  •  Maintain control and identify resolutions pertaining to unscheduled/unapproved visitors; de-escalate upset users  
  • Conduct & log outer perimeter checks including garage and parking lots, inner sweeps & closing procedures
  • Own facility safety and communications pertaining to HVAC, plumbing, inclement weather, and adverse working conditions
  • Analyze work order data and identify trends to improve efficiency
  • Provide backup assistance for the Office Operations Team; covering the front desk, handling deliveries and mail, stocking kitchens and office supplies
  • Support events  and running errands to support facilities as needed 
  • Organize and conduct employee moves for existing employees, including furniture relocation
  • Lead Office Operations projects and communicate company-wide, as needed
  • On-call pager duty facility rotation

You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

  • Minimum 2-4 years of safety/facilities background, and/or military experience 
  • A positive attitude every day, representing our brand, customers and yourself in a professional manner
  • High school diploma (or GED). Some college is preferred
  • Experience in de-escalation tools for aggressive behavior (verbal and physical)
  • CPR/First Aid certified or the ability to receive certification, FA/CPR/AED Instructor a plus
  • Ability to analyze data and find trends
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and assist in moving items around the office regularly

Helpful, but not required:

  • Handyperson skills strongly preferred
  • Proficiency using Google including Docs, Sheets, Slides
