Building A Product People Love

OfferUp was built to connect people to a world of local opportunity, and as we head into 2026, that mission has never felt more relevant. In a time when the way we shop can feel distant, impulsive, and impersonal, we believe local, face-to-face exchange matters more than ever.

Over the past year, our team has been focused on getting back to the heart of what makes OfferUp unique. From the beginning, we set out to make local buying and selling simpler and safer for millions of people and thousands of communities and businesses around the country. In 2025, we built on that foundation to help people find even more of what they need on OfferUp - from home services to practical advice from the OfferUp community. Now in 2026, we’re committed to making our core buying and selling experience better on both sides of the exchange. 



A product-led year ahead

Our 2026 goal is simple: build a product we’re proud of – a product our users and customers love. 

That entails simplifying how people buy and sell locally, removing friction from the moments that matter most, and investing in experiences that help buyers and sellers succeed faster and with more confidence. You’ll see a refreshed look and feel, more intuitive flows, and thoughtful use of new technologies to make everyday interactions in our app feel easier.

We’re also building with the future in mind. Younger generations are embracing local recommerce not just to chase deals or trends, but because it aligns with deeper priorities. They see the innate value of buying and selling with real people, investing in their communities, and being more thoughtful about the impact of the dollars they spend and the purchases they make. We’re focused on meeting these younger buyers and sellers where they are through experiences, content, and channels that reflect how they shop and connect today. 



Expanding support for local businesses

Local businesses have always been part of the OfferUp ecosystem, and in 2026 we’ll continue to deepen our support for them.

We launched OfferUp Services in 2025 to connect our millions of local shoppers with trusted service providers across categories like home cleaning, lawn care, painting, and moving. Helping local pros meet that existing demand in our marketplace and grow their customer bases through Offerup was one of the most gratifying successes of the year.

Across our Storefronts, Motors, and Services offerings, we’re continuing to focus on delivering simpler onboarding, better tools for managing inventory that meets local demand, and more efficient ways to get leads and grow profitably. Our goal is to make OfferUp for Business a true growth hub—one that helps the trusted businesses on OfferUp show up, stand out, and win customers.



Investing in local

We’ve all watched the race for one-click convenience and the allure of buying new attempt to outshine what’s closer to home. But local buying and selling is having a resurgence, and for a whole generation secondhand is now second nature. As we head into 2026, we have more conviction than ever that OfferUp can help lead this shift. That’s why we’re investing thoughtfully in the core experiences that make OfferUp special, and in the local buyers, sellers, and business builders who make our marketplace the engine of local value that it’s always been.
